MALC Trainers will provide the coaching, supervision, advice and support that you will need to achieve your goals.

 

Each personal training session will last either 30 or 60 minutes as purchased and will start and finish as per the appointment booking. Trainers will hold an initial consultation with members, and this time may vary

 

By engaging in Murray Aquatic & Leisure Centre (MALC) Personal Training, a client agrees to abide by the following

 

  1. I acknowledge the potential risks and dangers associated with exercise, and when attending each personal training session ensure that I’m in good physical condition and know of no medical reason or otherwise that should prevent me from participating. If unsure, I will seek appropriate medical advice before attending a session.
  2. I understand that due to information provided on my Pre-Exercise Questionnaire, the MALC may require a doctors’ clearance certificate before commencing Personal Training and understand that it is my responsibility to ensure this clearance from my health care professional is obtained. I understand that without this medical clearance, MALC may decide to discontinue my training until proof of medical clearance is obtained.
  3. I understand that Personal Trainers are not physicians and that any information given in regard to a medical condition, including injury is to be taken as guidance only and should be followed up immediately with my doctor or medical specialist.
  4. All Personal Training sessions must be paid at reception prior to commencing each session. Once purchased, sessions are not refundable, however maybe transferred to another client which must be advised to a MALC Customer Service Officer by the original purchaser/recipient of the personal training session.
  5. I will be present and suitably warmed up prior to the scheduled session time. I understand that punctuality for every session is important and a late arrival to my scheduled session will impact the duration of the session.
  6. I understand that in order to get the best results, I need to commit at each session and that my food and nutrition intake will affect my fitness goals and performance during Personal Training. To achieve my desired results, it is up to me to ensure I commit to eating well outside of Personal Training hours.
  7. I understand that photos may be taken during the course of my involvement in Personal Training, which may be used for promotional purposes. I know I can ask the trainer to not take/publish photos.
  8. Session cancellations must be advised at least 4 hours prior to the scheduled session. If the session is cancelled with less than 4 hours’ notice or failure to attend occurs, I will incur the full cost of the session. Exceptions may be considered when a medical certificate is supplied to the trainer prior to the next session.
  9. I acknowledge that Personal Training Packs have a 6-month expiry date and once expired cannot be refunded, transferred or reinstated.
  10. I, (and if being under 18 years of age, my parent/s, guardian/s for and on behalf of myself), acknowledge that during such times as I am on the premises or participating in any activity external to the premises which is organised, approved or endorsed by the Murray Aquatic & Leisure Centre as an activity for me to take part in, both my property and my person shall be at my own risk in every respect and hereby disclaim and release the Shire of Murray, and every occupier thereof, all employees, agents, independent contractors, voluntary workers from any liability for any personal injury or loss of property.

 

Rescheduling Appointments

We understand emergencies happen and we will try to be as accommodating as possible to

reschedule your appointment before cancelling it.

If a rescheduled appointment can be made for that day - we will endeavour to change the time

for you.

 

Personal Training Cancellation/Rescheduling Process

All appointments for personal training will be scheduled directly between the personal

trainer and reception staff.

  • If a client has to cancel or reschedule any previously scheduled appointments,

the client must contact MALC Reception directly or leave a phone message if the Centre is

closed. ideally at least 12 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment, but should not be less than 4 hours.

  • If a client does not cancel or reschedule an appointment at least 4 hours in advance, MALC

reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee equivalent to the full personal training fee

that would have been charged for the training session. If a client is using a PT pass/package, one

PT session will be deducted due to cancellation.

  • If a client fails to appear for a scheduled appointment, the personal training fee that would have been charged for the training session will apply.

 

Personal Training Refunds

No refunds are offered on personal training passes/sessions purchased in advance, except for medical circumstances. Any request for a refund for medical circumstances must be applied for in writing to info@themalc.com.au, noting there are no guarantees that a refund will be granted.

 

Clients are eligible to transfer personal training passes/paid sessions to another client. This must be advised in writing to info@themalc.com.au, and must be arranged prior to the session occurring. No transfers will be processed for missed sessions.
