- Free entry for one companion who is providing essential care or support to the cardholder.
- The cardholder pays the usual entry fee or membership fee.
- The companion’s role is to assist the cardholder with movement, setup, communication, safety, etc.
What can’t the Companion Card be used for?
The Companion Card does not provide:
- Free entry for a companion when the cardholder is not present.
- Free or discounted access for the companion to participate independently (e.g. doing their own workout, swimming laps, or joining a class for themselves).
- Admission for more than one companion unless approved in advance by management for safety reasons.
- Free access to additional paid services (e.g. personal training, specialised programs, or events)
How does a Companion Card work in accessing the gym?
- Companions may enter the gym at no charge when assisting the cardholder.
- Priority for equipment and space is given to paying members and the cardholder.
- Companions must remain close to the cardholder and are not permitted to be in another area of the gym completing an independent workout.
- Assistance may include setup, guidance, or mobility support.
- All patrons (Card Holders and/or Companions) using fitness services must complete a health pre-screen; companions who have not completed a pre-screen may not undertake physical activity/exercises in the gym.
Can a Companion Cardholder and their Companion use the Centre 24/7 (i.e. outside Centre opening hours)?

- They may assist with entering/exiting the pool, safety support, or mobility.
- If swimming, companions must be in the same pool and/or area as the card holder.
How does a Companion Card work accessing Group Fitness Classes?
- Companions may enter the studio to provide support (e.g. setting up, providing physical assistance, helping with cues, etc.)
- Companions should remain near cardholders during the program to provide that support,

- there is sufficient space in the class for the companion to participate.
- If the companion wishes to join in as an independent participant, they must book and pay for a sessions like other customers.
Important Notes
- Companions are here to assist the card holder, not to simply participate independently.
- Free access for companions is designed for the support of the card holder, not just for the benefit of the companion.
- The Centre reserves the right to manage access when facilities are at capacity to ensure safety and fairness for all members.
