The Murray Aquatic & Leisure Centre (MALC) in Pinjarra offers a diverse range of high-quality spaces available for hire, catering to everything from meetings and workshops to sporting events and community activities.
Whether you’re hosting an information session, personal development sessions, planning a committee meeting, or organising a regular or casual sporting booking, our flexible spaces can be tailored to suit your needs.
Hire fees are aligned with our current Fees and Charges, with discounted rates available for local not-for-profit organisations and Department of Education curriculum activities. Our friendly team is always happy to provide a tour of the Centre and assist you in finding the ideal space, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable booking experience.
Aquatic Facilities
MALC features a modern 8-lane, 25-metre heated indoor Lap pool, maintained at approximately 28°C, ideal for extended use. The lap pool has starter blocks (which can be used under supervision) and grandstand seating for 166 people. This lanes can be booked casually or on a regular basis, with lane hire available in 30-minute increments.
Adjacent to the lap pool, the Leisure Pool offers seven versatile zones with varying water depths and temperatures. This flexibility allows the space to be adapted for a wide range of activities and user groups.
Our Hydrotherapy Pool is a standout feature of the Centre, heated to approximately 34°C. It provides an optimal environment for rehabilitation, low-impact exercise, aquatic therapy, yoga and walking programs. Available for hourly hire, this space is well suited to physiotherapists and community groups.
Indoor Courts
MALC offers three indoor courts designed to accommodate a variety of sporting and event needs.
Courts 1 & 2, located near the main entrance, can be used individually or combined to create a large, versatile event space. These courts are suitable for competitions, exhibitions, dance events and community activities. They feature scoreboards, a central timing system, and a HVLS (High Volume, Low Speed) ceiling fan and an evaporative cooler to enhance comfort for both participants and spectators.
Court 3 provides a more private setting, ideal for smaller events or training sessions. It is equipped with multiple wall-mounted fans to ensure comfortable conditions during warmer months and a small evaporative cooler.
All courts feature modern LED lighting and are set up with court markings for basketball, netball, volleyball, badminton & pickleball.
Rooms & Function Spaces
MALC also offers a range of flexible indoor spaces suitable for meetings, training and private functions.
Group Fitness Studio
A spacious 224m² air-conditioned and carpeted studio, complete with a stage. This versatile space is ideal for dance, workshops and training sessions when not in use for scheduled classes.
Club Room
A bright and welcoming space (78m2) located alongside the lap pool, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with scenic views of the lawn and river area. This fully enclosed, air-conditioned room includes a flat-screen TV and private amenities, making it perfect for meetings, club gatherings, training sessions or small functions.
Meeting Room
Our Meeting Room is a comfortable and functional space, ideal for small meetings, interviews or workshops. Spanning 32m², the room features a large boardroom table with seating for up to 12 people.
Conveniently located near the Centre’s main entry, the room also offers direct external access for ease of arrival and privacy. Amenities include air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and a 60-inch TV with HDMI connectivity, perfect for presentations and collaborative sessions.
Catering options are also available to complement your booking, helping you create a seamless and professional experience for your attendees.
