MALC is stepping up this September and we want YOU to join us!
We are proud to announce that we have registered an official MALC team for Million Moves, a 21-day state-wide challenge powered by AusActive and the Australian Government, designed to get more West Aussies moving more often.
Whether you are walking the dog, swimming laps, dancing in the kitchen, lifting in the gym, or chasing after your little ones, every move counts. The goal is to log as many moves as possible throughout September, and we are inviting our entire community to get involved.

At MALC, we believe movement isn’t just something you do, it’s a lifestyle. We are not just a gym or a pool we are a place that supports our community to live healthier, happier, and more active lives. Million Moves is the perfect way to come together, build great habits, and show the state what the Murray community is made of!

3️⃣ From September 1, start logging your daily moves on the website
4️⃣ Share your selfies or action shots in our Members Facebook Group or tag us on socials @theMALCPinjarra we’ll be cheering you on!
How Do You Track a Move?
It’s easy:

From 1st September 2025, log into your profile on the Million Moves website

Click “Log a Move”

Enter what you did, how long you did it, and the intensity (light, moderate, or high)

The system should calculate your daily move total for you!
👉 As a guide: 30 minutes of moderate activity (like walking or swimming) is usually worth around 75 moves.
Who Can Join?
Everyone! You don’t have to be a MALC member, invite your friends, family, neighbours, and workmates. The more movers, the better.
Let’s move together, support one another, and make this our most active month in the Shire of Murray yet!
