You may have noticed that the front entrance is still looking a little worse for wear, with part of the walkway and surrounding area remaining taped off. The Shire’s Building team is awaiting revised engineering plans for the walkway and will engage a contractor to complete the rebuild as soon as possible.
Following the loss of two trees during the storm, the Shire’s Parks and Gardens team had arranged for an arborist to inspect and assess the trees surrounding MALC. The good news is that all remaining trees were found to be in acceptable health (my words not theirs), with only minor trimming required to remove some dead limbs. This work was completed last week and the trees will continue to have annual inspections, so hopefully we wont have a repeat felling!
